Husaak was founded by Ali Husain, a petroleum engineer turned pioneer of tourism. Kuwaiti born; Ali left the Arabian Peninsula as a teenager to study at the Colorado School of Mines in the US. Working in the Oil and Gas industry inAlaska and the Arctic sparked a passion for the great outdoors. When Ali relocated to Oman in 2012, he dedicated his weekends to exploring the untouched Omani mountains and wadis, and documenting his travels on Instagram.

At the time, outdoor pursuits were a foreign concept in the region, very quickly the photographs Ali posted online garnered attention. People from across the Gulf reached out, asking to join him as he explored every dirt road, canyon, wadi and sand dune across Oman. In 2012 the concept turned in to a business, Ali began leading trips from his home garage. In the first year he sold 73 seats and by the end of 2014, 450 intrepid explorers had accompanied him on trips.

As of today, Husaak has shared the jewels of Oman with over 19,000 visitors. Over the years, Husaak expanded the services on offer, launching self-drive packages and cultural tours to complement the portfolio of year-round outdoor activities, tours and events. Now Husaak operate from 4 adventure centers across the Sultanate; Muscat, Jebal Shams, Wadi Dayqah and Salalah.

In 2018 the business acquired Sea Hawk, a water-sports operator in Abu Dhabi. Sea Hawk has now been rebranded to Husaak UAE, where we welcome an average of 20,000 people per year on our guided kayaking tours across 3 locations in Abu Dhabi, Eastern Mangrove National Park, Reem Island and Louvre Abu Dhabi.

In 2020, after years of exploration and research, Saudi Arabia was added to the portfolio. The launch of Husaak Adventures in KSA in 2020 shows Husaak’s committed to delivering world-class outdoor experiences across the Gulf. In the first 3 years, Husaak has served over 15,000 customers in AlUla and the Aseer Province.

Ali and his team continue to explore uncover and develop new tourism experiences across the Kingdom, to share with local and global visitors.
